Filling in a Quick Visit

Fast ways to fill in a visit by hand — type-to-add, quick-add chips, the step-by-step builder, visit kits, favourites and your usual medicines.

ForDoctorClinic Admin

Every Quick Visit can be filled in without AI. A typical visit takes well under a minute. This guide shows the shortcuts.

Type to add

The Fill in the visit card has one box: "Type to add… e.g. 36 rct, amox, review 1 week".

Type a short phrase and pick from the suggestions:

You typeYou get
36 rctRoot canal treatment on tooth 36 in Done today (or Plan)
amoxAmoxicillin with your usual dose, in Medicines
review 1 weekA next visit one week from today
scalingScaling for the whole mouth

Suggestions come from your clinic's service and medicine lists, including the short names dentists use ("RCT", "OPG", "IOPA", "tds"). If nothing matches: "Nothing matches — try another word, or use the step-by-step builder."

Tooth first

Tap teeth on the tooth grid before adding something, and the teeth apply to what you add next. Use FDI numbers (11–48 for adults, 51–85 for children).

Done today, plan, or continue

When you add a treatment you can choose:

  • Do it today / Done today: it was performed in this sitting.
  • Plan: it goes on the treatment plan for later.
  • Continue treatment: today's sitting of something already on the plan (for example the second sitting of a root canal).

Quick add chips

Under the box, Quick add shows one-tap chips: your recent items first, then the common ones. Tap a chip to add it. More shows the rest.

The step-by-step builder

Build the visit step by step asks short questions one at a time, for example:

  • What's the complaint? Since when?
  • Which tooth? (optional): "Use the FDI number, e.g. 36 or 75."
  • Continue ongoing treatment?
  • Medicine, Dose, How often, For how many days, then Add medicine.
  • Next visit: a day, a Time of day, Or an exact time.
  • Amount collected (₹).

Next and Skip move through the questions, Back goes back. At the end:

  • Add to visit puts your answers straight into the draft (free and instant). Each answer becomes its own item in the draft, where you can still change it.
  • Let Bee write it up sends the answers to Bee to draft (AI plans only).

Tick Always start by filling it in myself to open every visit in this mode.

Talk or type (free, no AI)

The Talk or type box accepts a whole sentence, spoken (in Chrome or Edge) or typed:

RCT 36 started, amox 500 tds 5 days, review 1 week

Then:

  • Pick out what I can finds the procedures, medicines and next visit it recognises and adds them to the draft. No AI is involved and it costs nothing.
  • Whatever it couldn't pick out stays in the box. Save as consultation notes keeps it as notes, so nothing is lost.

Short phrases work best.

Editing an item

Click any item in the draft to change it: tooth, surface, medicine dose, duration, the next-visit time. For the next visit, pick from the doctor's free times (or Later days). Use the arrows on plan items to Move up or Move down in the plan, and Same for another tooth to copy an item to another tooth.

Fix it

If something wasn't matched to your list (a medicine you don't stock yet, a misspelling), the item shows Fix it:

  • Choose from list: pick the right service or medicine.
  • Add to my list: add it to your clinic's list now. The standard list fills in strength and safety information. Set the dosage form, strength and Price ₹ (before tax).
  • Keep as note: keep the words as a note instead.

Existing treatment plans

If the patient has an ongoing plan, Existing treatment plans asks Doing any of these today? Tap an item to record it as done today. "Changes here save straight away — they don't wait for the final save." Use Edit details or Open full plan for more.

Visit kits and favourites

Save time on visits you do again and again.

  • Save this visit as a kit: saves the whole draft (procedures, medicines, advice, next visit) under a name such as "RCT first sitting". Next time, tap the kit to fill in a visit like it in one tap. If the kit needs a tooth, you're asked for it (e.g. 36, 37), or choose No tooth.
  • Save this Rx as a favourite: saves just the medicines.
  • Share with everyone at the clinic makes a kit or favourite available to your colleagues.

Find them under Visit kits & favourites.

Your usual medicines

For ongoing treatment, Quick Visit can offer what you usually prescribe with it, learned from your own past visits, as one card: Add all or Not today. Nothing is added without your tap.

Turn it off with Don't suggest my usual medicines, and back on from the Quick Visit start page (Suggest my usual medicines).

Last visit's medicines

When repeating a prescription, use the option to add last visit's medicines. You'll see "Added last visit's medicines", then adjust doses as needed.
