AI Scribe

AI Scribe turns free-form notes into structured suggestions for a consultation. It works inside a consultation. For recording a whole visit in one go, Quick Visit is usually faster.

How it works

1. Open a consultation that is Draft or In Progress. The AI Scribe page lists both: In-progress consultations (dictate during an active visit) and Draft consultations (dictate before the visit starts).
2. In the AI Scribe panel, click Record and speak, or type what you'd otherwise enter by hand: findings, diagnosis, treatment and medicines discussed.
3. Submit. "Extracting structured suggestions…"
4. Review the suggestion. Nothing is saved automatically:
   • Consultation fields: click Apply to Consultation to fill the complaint, history, findings, diagnosis and notes.
   • Suggested treatment items: use them as a guide, then Open Treatment Plan to add the items.
   • Suggested medicines: Open Prescription to add them.
   • Tooth findings: Apply to chart.
5. Mark the dictation Applied, Partially Applied or Discard it.

Earlier dictations for the consultation are listed under Earlier dictations.

If extraction fails

"Extraction failed — You can fill the consultation form manually, or try dictating again." Your consultation is unchanged.

Voice input

Voice input needs Chrome or Edge on a computer, or the mobile app. In other browsers: "Voice input isn't supported in this browser — try typing instead."

Privacy

Before your notes are sent to the AI provider, the patient's name and any phone numbers or email addresses in the text are removed. Suggestions are only saved to the record when you apply them. See Security and data protection.
