The audit log

Clinic24x7 records every important action in the audit log: who did it, when, from where, and what changed. Entries can't be edited or deleted by anyone, which makes the log trustworthy if a question ever comes up.

Open Audit Log in the sidebar (Clinic Admins and Doctors).

What's recorded

• Create, Update and Delete of records such as patients, appointments, consultations, treatment plans, procedures, prescriptions, invoices, payments, consent forms, services, medicines, users and settings.
• Status changes, for example an invoice issued or an appointment cancelled.
• Login and Logout.
• Export: whenever a patient's full data is downloaded.

Finding something

Filter by:

• Action: Create, Update, Delete, Restore, Login, Logout, Export.
• Entity type: Patient, Invoice, Payment and so on.
• From date / To date.

Open an entry to see the Details:

Common questions it answers

• Who cancelled this appointment? Filter by entity type Appointment and the date.
• Who changed this invoice's due date? Open the invoice's Update entries and compare Before and After.
• Who downloaded this patient's data? Look for Export entries.

Privacy and security

The log is part of how Clinic24x7 protects patient data. It lets you investigate if something looks wrong, for example an unexpected export. If you suspect misuse, deactivate the account straight away (see Staff accounts) and contact support.
