Medicines

Keep the list of medicines your doctors prescribe, with strength, form, route and default instructions.

ForClinic AdminDoctor

Medicines is your clinic's prescribable list ("The clinic's prescribable medicine catalog"). Prescriptions can only use medicines from this list, which keeps names and strengths consistent and makes allergy checks reliable.

Clinic Admins manage the list. Doctors can view it and add medicines (including from Quick Visit's Fix it → Add to my list).

Your onboarding team may have pre-filled common dental medicines from the Clinic24x7 standard list. Medicines from that list carry extra safety information used by the allergy checks.

Changing and deactivating

Edit a medicine to update it. Deactivate ("This medicine will no longer be selectable for new prescriptions") when you stop prescribing it. Old prescriptions keep the name and strength they were written with.
